Stand Out From The Crowd
When it comes to fashion, is it better to Stand out from the crowd, or to blend in without being noticed?

Menswear has never been so popular and is in the forefront of everyone’s fashion intrigued minds. However, with constantly changing trends and new styles coming at you, it’s easy to get confused and overwhelmed in today’s fashion scene. Many believe that what you wear is a part of you and shows off your personality; deciding how you want to be seen can become a massive dilemma. Do you stand out from the crowd or blend in? This week we look at both, what will you decide?

The world’s opinion to men and masculinity is changing; you can be as overtly interested in fashion and your looks as you wish nowadays. With such a variety available to you from the high street to the catwalk, standing out has never been so fun. Patterned t-shirts are still on trend this winter and choosing the bright and the bold is easy. Wearing clothes to stand out from the crowd requires confidence and not to be confused with arrogance which is a fine line. One colour too many can tip you over the edge from fashion lover to fashion fail. It is extremely easy to go too far and make bad fashion choices, so beware of the bold line between being an individual and being over the top. If you do decided to go all out, why not try adding a statement piece to a simple look? This creates a safe medium and allows you to be creative with select items.
On the other side of the fence there is the more comfortable choice of blending in. However, in this day and age blending in doesn’t need to be boring. The simple pleasure of wearing comfortable clothes you like shouldn’t be underestimated. We often spend too much money and time in clothes we don’t actually feel good in just to follow a trend, but blending in can stop all that; think of this as keeping it simple. This way you can keep true to yourself and create a distinctive look.Good quality wardrobe essentials can be the bases of a great look so don’t shy away from them. However, don’t be too afraid to try new colours or materials, a subtle way to mix up your look. Blending in can also go too far when you find yourself dressing for others and following the crowd, remember trends exist to be taken inspiration from, you don’t need to be dressed in the exact same clothes as your social crowd.
Standing out from the crowd and blending in, both have their good and bad points but what I think is essential is keeping the balance between the two. No one wants to be hidden in the crowd nor do you want to be known for your peacocking style. Always remember a good fashion choice relies on you to wear what you like and what suits your body shape. Most importantly, wearing an outfit with confidence is what gives you style.
